They are seeking a highly technical Sales Engineer to assist prospective customers across various industries, collaborating closely with account executives and leading the technical aspects of the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical discovery & qualification early in the sales process
  • Craft demos that translate functional capabilities into business value for our prospects
  • Collaborate with AEs on best approach to sales cycles
  • Own the technical portion of the sales cycle in guiding our prospects through structured, milestone-driven proofs of concept, leading to a technical win
  • Ensure successful transition to post-sales through effective internal knowledge sharing
  • Maintain and upskill your own industry expertise and knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Embody the voice of the customer with Product Management in helping steer the product roadmap

Skills

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role
  • Python as a second language
  • Love that at a startup great impact comes with great responsibility
  • Comfortable speaking to rooms of mixed-responsibility stakeholders among finance, FinOps, developers, SREs, and executives
  • Passionate about discovering prospects' business challenges and what they need to overcome them
  • Eternally curious, more eager to learn than teach
  • Cringe when hearing someone say 'that's not part of my job description'
