[Remote] District Sales Manager

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and non-residential buildings in North America. They are seeking a District Sales Manager to drive profitable growth and market development in the California Market, focusing on direct sales to contractors and implementing strategic market plans.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Regional Manager and will be responsible for the profitable growth and market development of the territory
  • Supports the components division including MBCI and Metal Sales Brands
  • Positioned within MBCI’s Commercial Roof & Wall segment, with direct sales to sub-contractors, general contractors & roofing contractors
  • Develops and implements market plans that include customer analysis, competitive insights, growth opportunities, and revenue goals
  • Comprehensive understanding of all products and systems offered by Cornerstone Building Brands in the market
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of key customer’s business and the critical measures that drive each account
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with all Cornerstone Building Brands internal departments to ensure customer experience is optimized and efficient
  • Ability to work with Operating Systems

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all CBB associates, customers, subsidiaries, agents and sales force
  • Must be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise
  • Must possess a minimum of 8 years of proven sales/marketing and/or sales management experience
  • Experience in commercial construction and/or building materials
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and competition and develop strategic responses to opportunities
  • Strong understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential
  • Must be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel 50% - 60% of the time (2-3 overnights a week)
  • Pre-engineered metal buildings experience is preferred
