ECA Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Business Data Analyst to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of reporting across multiple systems. The role involves monitoring large datasets, identifying discrepancies, and supporting root cause analysis while collaborating with management and operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting outputs for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify inconsistencies, missing data, or anomalies
  • Ensure reporting aligns with operational workflows, compliance requirements, and audit expectations
  • Perform reconciliations between source systems (FOW, production systems, Lakehouse) and downstream reports
  • Provides overall consistency, structure, and oversight in a complex reporting landscape
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies and determine root cause across systems, data feeds, or processes
  • Partner with technology, RPA, and data teams to resolve errors or gaps in reporting logic
  • Track recurring issues and identify trends to mitigate future reporting risk
  • Maintain documentation of known issues, resolutions, and data dependencies
  • Provide direction and guidance to the MIS team on reporting priorities and expectations
  • Review output from MIS team to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to standards
  • Support training, clarification, and refinement of reporting logic and business rules
  • Act as escalation point for complex reporting issues
  • Ensure all reporting supports audit readiness and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails supporting reported data
  • Partner with audit, compliance, and leadership teams to respond to reporting inquiries
  • Identify and mitigate data-related risks impacting DSG reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and data quality
  • Support transition from legacy Excel-based reporting to scalable data environments (FOW, Lakehouse)
  • Assist in UAT, validation, and rollout of new reporting processes or data structures
  • Recommend enhancements to reporting frameworks, controls, and validations
  • Liaise with software developers to resolve complex technical issues
  • Partner with managers to review and validate reports for accuracy and data integrity
  • Educate managers in interpreting performance data, metrics, and trends to drive informed decision making
  • Develop and deliver concise executive summaries for senior leadership, highlighting key findings, trends, risks, and opportunities

Skills

  • 3–5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or similar role
  • Advanced Excel skills (required), including the ability to audit, troubleshoot, and validate large datasets, complex formulas, pivot tables, and data structures
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Demonstrated ability to identify data issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness
  • Effective communication skills with ability to translate data issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Experience with data environments such as FOW, Snowflake, Lakehouse, or similar
  • Basic SQL or querying knowledge (not required but beneficial)
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Background in title, escrow, financial services, or a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with audit, compliance, or risk-related reporting
