[Remote] Sales Project Manager – Data Center Infrastructure

Upstak is expanding rapidly in the data center solutions space, and they are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-centric Sales Project Manager to lead sales execution and customer success across infrastructure and technology deployments. This role involves bridging quoting, vendor communication, and post-sale execution while managing client relationships and driving project success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, maintaining strong relationships from quote through delivery
- Respond quickly to customer inquiries and support requests, ensuring a high standard of service throughout each deployment cycle
- Attend client meetings to provide project updates, clarify technical details, and represent Upstak’s coordination efforts
- Proactively identify new sales opportunities through customer conversations, deployment planning, and account expansion touchpoints
- Generate and revise quotes based on technical scope, vendor pricing, and delivery feasibility
- Submit and track RFQs and POs, ensuring accuracy and inventory alignment
- Manage all stages of deal structuring—pricing, vendor selection, and technical validation
- Customize deal responses to align with both technical and operational requirements of hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center clients
- Partner closely with your Director of Sales to stay informed on all active deals, site-specific nuances, and timeline risks
- Communicate with vendors to confirm product specs, lead times, and delivery timelines
- Maintain organized logs of drawings, submittals, customer standards, engineering specs, and all related construction documentation
- Troubleshoot vendor-related delays and escalate issues as needed to keep timelines on track
- Track all project workflows in Method CRM, maintaining visibility across stakeholders
- Create weekly reports on quote activity, open projects, fulfillment status, and customer feedback
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and internal operations initiatives across the sales team
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in the data center, infrastructure hardware, or low-voltage supply industry
- Comfort with quoting and fulfillment processes for physical products—racks, enclosures, cabling, airflow containment systems, PDUs, and more
- Experience in account management and inside sales—understanding customer goals and identifying new opportunities
- Familiarity with RFQs, BOMs, cost tracking, and vendor communication in a logistics-heavy environment
- Strong organizational habits, CRM discipline, and a responsive, service-minded communication style
- Method CRM, Microsoft Excel
- Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Slack
- Prior experience with quoting or ERP platforms is a plus
