Telehealth Veterinary Technician - Part Time

Our Opportunity: Chewy is looking for a Telehealth Veterinary Technician to join our Healthcare Team. Come join our growing organization and be a part of revolutionizing the virtual care industry! This is a Part Time position between 20-25 hrs / wk and shift lengths between 4-8hrs. The majority of these shifts will be during evenings and weekends. Team Members must be located in the following states: AZ, FL, IA, KS, OK, PA, TX, or WA. What You'll Do: The Telehealth Veterinary Technician will participate and champion the support and education to Chewy's pet parents on products and services that help animal health and wellbeing. Provide subject matter expertise on companion animal health and wellness for Chewy Health. Participate in program development and enhancing training procedures. Identify and triage platform improvements and support innovative advancements. Collaborate with Chewy Health Team Members on the development of current and new services and products. Chewy offers full training and vital materials for the vet tech to support and provide effective communication with pet parents efficiently. What You'll Need: Active Vet Tech License / Certification (CVT, LVT or RVT) A Veterinary Technology associates or bachelor's degree from a NAVTA and/or AVMA-CVTEA accredited program, or equivalent is required. 3+ years of small animal veterinary experience or equivalent industry experience. Must have proficient computer skills as this will require interacting with customers and Chewy Team Members remotely through an online platform. Someone who accepts forward thinking and curiosity. Has exemplary listening and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask comfortably. Is comfortable collaborating with other veterinary technicians, veterinarians, applying a team-oriented environment. Is passionate about helping people and pets with compassion and excellent customer service focus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable in a fast paced, self-starter environment. The Team Member's internet speed must be at least 50 Mbps (download) and 10 Mbps (upload).
