About the Role
Our client, a premier recruitment consultancy specializing in the life sciences sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Talent Sourcer to join their dedicated biotech practice in San Diego, California . This role is critical for identifying and engaging hard-to-find scientific and technical talent required by leading biotechnology companies. You will utilize advanced sourcing techniques, build extensive talent pipelines, and collaborate closely with recruitment consultants and hiring managers to meet the complex staffing needs of this innovative industry. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to critical talent acquisition efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify and attract top-tier talent in areas such as R&D, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing within the biotech sector. Conduct in-depth research and market mapping to identify key organizations and potential candidates. Utilize a wide array of sourcing tools and techniques, including advanced Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, and industry-specific platforms. Build and maintain robust, diverse talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs. Engage passive candidates through compelling outreach and compelling value propositions. Partner closely with recruitment consultants and hiring managers to understand role requirements and candidate profiles. Screen and qualify candidates, ensuring they meet the specified technical and experience criteria. Track sourcing metrics and provide regular updates on pipeline development and engagement efforts. Stay current with biotech industry trends, talent landscapes, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent sourcing, with a significant focus on the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries. Proven expertise in sourcing scientific and technical roles (e.g., Scientists, Research Associates, Bioinformaticians, QA/QC Specialists, Process Engineers). Advanced proficiency with sourcing tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems, and other specialized platforms. Demonstrated ability to build and manage strong talent pipelines for niche and high-demand roles. Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse candidate pools effectively. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting. Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) or equivalent practical experience. Discretion and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
