Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Data Exploration & Risk Modeling: Design, develop, and validate statistical models that assess risk, predict claim likelihood, and forecast customer behavior.
  • Strategic Project Execution: Partner with senior product managers and cross‑functional teams to define project scope, set milestones, and deliver analytical solutions that drive growth and improve loss ratios.
  • SQL & SAS Querying: Extract, clean, and transform large‑scale datasets using SQL, SAS, Snowflake, or DBeaver, ensuring data integrity and consistency for downstream analysis.
  • Advanced Analytics & Visualization: Utilize R, Python, or similar languages to perform regression, clustering, time‑series, and predictive analytics, then communicate findings through compelling visual dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Performance Monitoring: Build and maintain monitoring plans for new product initiatives, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as loss ratio, retention, and acquisition cost.
  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in Azure DevOps sprint cycles, capture user stories, and track deliverables in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare executive‑level presentations, story‑boards, and concise reports that translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies, propose automation opportunities, and champion data‑driven culture throughout the Auto Product Management department.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance, or related field).
  • Analytical Expertise: Proven experience conducting statistical analysis, building predictive models, and managing large data sets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL and at least one programming language (R or Python) for data manipulation and analytics.
  • Data‑Visualization Skills: Ability to create clear, impactful visualizations that convey insights to non‑technical audiences.
  • Software Savvy: Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, VBA), PowerPoint, and Word proficiency.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a talent for explaining technical concepts in plain language.
