You will be part of a culture that values trust, accountability, and shared success where your work truly matters. Job Summary

About the Role

As a key member of our Professional Services team, you will be the technical vanguard for our customers' most complex observability challenges. You will partner with customer DevOps, SRE, and development leaders, acting as a trusted technical advisor who can seamlessly parachute into high-stakes environments and architect scalable, resilient solutions. Rather than just following a playbook, you will write it. Whether you are pioneering a complex migration path from a legacy platform, optimizing telemetry ingestion to maximize platform value and license efficiency, or collaborating with Product to shape new features, you will ensure our customers achieve long-term success and establish best-in-class observability practices. You Will Architect & Solve: Dive into complex customer challenges, architecting scalable, repeatable solutions for integration, telemetry ingestion, and data optimization to help customers maximize their platform value and manage license needs efficiently. Pioneer Complex Migrations: Lead complex, net-new migrations from legacy platforms where best practices may not yet exist. Deeply understand the capabilities of incumbent platforms, establish the strategic migration path, and design the optimized Chronosphere target state. Bridge Field & Product: Act as a key technical expert on new features and seamlessly bridge the gap between customer needs and Product. Accurately evaluate customer friction points to determine when to escalate issues as feature requests or bugs, versus guiding the customer toward an alternative architectural approach. Drive Strategic Alignment: Partner with customer observability leadership to align Chronosphere architectures with overarching business objectives, mapping technical milestones directly to business value. Build & Automate: Identify product and process gaps, build custom automation, and update migration tooling to adopt new, optimized paths. Innovate Tooling for Efficiency: Systematically identify internal (TenantOps, Engineering) or customer-specific friction points (e.g., complex migrations, data optimization) and where needed help with implementation of tooling to reduce those friction points. Make additions to existing tooling (for example migration tooling or internal reporting systems) One of the goals of solution architects is to improve the day to day workflow and functionality of the team, a key way we do that here is through automation. Enable & Mentor: Advance internal reference architectures and contribute specialized design documentation to an evolving knowledge base. Mentor Implementation Engineers, conducting design reviews and guiding them through the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

You Have Education: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a relevant field. Experience: 6+ years in a technical consulting or architecture role, with deep expertise in core engineering technologies and a curious, adaptive mindset to fearlessly tackle clients' most pressing data and observability challenges. Cloud & Observability Expertise: Deep experience navigating modern cloud-native ecosystems (GCP, AWS, Azure) and container management systems (Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, Docker) alongside observability standards like PromQL (OpenTelemetry experience is a strong plus). Advisory Skills: Proven ability to guide Enterprise clients through complex architectural design, platform onboarding, and optimization strategies, paired with the executive presence needed to advise and align senior leadership. Coding & Automation: Hands-on proficiency in object-oriented programming or scripting (e.g., Python, Go, Java), with a track record of identifying process bottlenecks, understanding diverse data platforms, and building custom tooling/automation to solve them. Product Sense: A strong analytical mindset with the ability to accurately translate complex customer workflows into actionable product insights or architectural pivots. Infrastructure as Code: Foundational experience with IaC frameworks (e.g., Terraform) and version control via Git to seamlessly integrate Chronosphere with customer infrastructure.
