The role involves reviewing various market research artifacts for accuracy and clarity, providing structured feedback, and ensuring high-quality project execution.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving market research, customer insights, market sizing, industry analysis, segment analysis, and research summaries
- Review research materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance
- Assess whether conclusions are supported by appropriate evidence, assumptions, methodology, and business context
- Identify weak sourcing, unclear methodology, unsupported claims, incomplete analysis, or poor linkage between research findings and recommendations
- Review materials involving competitor profiles, benchmarking, positioning, pricing comparisons, product comparisons, market maps, and strategic implications
- Assess whether competitive intelligence materials are realistic, well-structured, and useful for business decision-making
- Evaluate market sizing models, industry summaries, SWOT analyses, Porter's Five Forces materials, and executive-facing recommendations for rigor and usability
- Provide clear written feedback that improves research quality and artifact usefulness
- Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency
- Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality
- Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files
- Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
Skills
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in market research, competitive intelligence, business research, strategy research, customer insights, industry analysis, product marketing, consulting, or related work
- Native or professional fluency in English
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
- Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback
- Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
- Academic backgrounds in business, marketing, economics, strategy, analytics, statistics, communications, social science research, or related fields may be relevant
- Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable
- Professional training in market research, competitive intelligence, research methods, business strategy, or data analysis may also be relevant depending on project scope
- Master's degree, MBA, or comparable business/research-related credential
- Experience creating or reviewing market research reports, competitor analyses, customer insight decks, market sizing models, industry maps, benchmarking summaries, or executive presentations
- Familiarity with TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, survey research, interview synthesis, pricing analysis, segmentation, and competitor benchmarking
- Experience reviewing presentation decks for clarity, polish, and business-facing communication quality
- Strong ability to evaluate both research substance and visual/presentation quality
