[Remote] National Account Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kforce Inc is seeking a National Account Manager to manage key retail accounts and drive growth strategies. The role involves developing relationships with stakeholders, monitoring account performance, and collaborating with internal teams to meet retailer needs.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day relationships with key retail accounts (e.g., Walmart, Kroger, Whole Foods, H-E-B)
- Develop and execute account-specific growth strategies to increase distribution, placement, and sales velocity
- Partner with buyers and category managers to expand shelf presence and promotional activity
- Monitor account performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to drive growth
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies
- Ensure strong execution across retailer requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Work closely with operations, supply chain, and marketing to ensure alignment with retailer needs
- Support forecasting and inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels
- Provide input on category insights and competitive positioning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalations, negotiations, and strategic discussions
- Identify new opportunities within accounts (line extensions, new SKUs, additional regions)
Skills
- 3-5+ years of experience in CPG sales, account management, or retail-facing roles
- Proven experience managing grocery or mass retail accounts
- Strong understanding of retailer dynamics, category management, and sell-in/sell-through strategies
- Ability to operate independently in a lean startup environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Experience in beverage, functional beverage, or alcohol categories
- Exposure to high-growth or early-stage brands
- Strong analytical skills (pricing, promotions, trade spend, retail performance data)
