BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a Marketing Project Specialist who will conduct market research and manage marketing projects to enhance product performance and member experience. The role involves developing project plans, analyzing customer satisfaction, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Research, coordinates, manages and implements major marketing projects
  • Manages product/program after launch/implementation
  • Develops/conducts primary market research related to competitors, industry analysis, customer analysis, market trends, portfolio analysis, product development and regulations, and other related topics
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with external companies and vendors
  • Responsible for ensuring all activities align within the strategic plan, timeline, and budget
  • Manages the development of project plans, risk management plans and project documentation
  • Identifies teamwork and testing assignments and provides oversight and direction to project managers and project test teams
  • Oversees the implementation of detailed project plans including monitoring and control of budgeted costs and delivery timelines
  • Identifies business requirements
  • Supports new business implementations or acquisitions
  • Facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements, service levels, and customer requirements
  • Maintains effective communication with stakeholders during all phases of projects
  • Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas
  • Analyzes customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction with products and processes, which may include pre and post campaign or conference feedback
  • Coordinates and completes other tasks and projects as assigned by management

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • Three years of marketing support experience to include project coordination and implementations
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of business development, strategic planning, marketing support and process improvement
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and techniques
  • Strong project planning and analytical/critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
  • Demonstrated proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammar skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated customer-service, organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and make sound decisions under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
