[Remote] Oracle Business Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Finance Cloud BA to join an exciting company. The Oracle Finance Cloud BA will serve as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and business stakeholders, providing support for Oracle ERP/EPM applications and enhancing financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for Finance Cloud and EPM end users
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across Oracle Financials and EPM (EP) modules
- Manage and work ticket queues related to finance and planning/reporting issues
- Monitor system alerts and ensure system stability
- Partner closely with Finance teams (FP&A, Accounting, etc.) to gather and document requirements
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes within EPM
- Act as a liaison between Finance, FSO, and IT teams
- Document current-state finance and EPM processes (planning cycles, consolidations, reporting)
- Develop: Functional design documents, Process flows, Data mapping documentation
- Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements across ERP and EPM platforms
- Analyze financial and planning data to identify inconsistencies and ensure data quality
- Support reporting needs across Oracle Financials and EPM (e.g., Planning, FCCS, etc.)
- Perform light querying and reporting using tools such as BI Publisher (basic level)
- Support quarterly Oracle patches, updates, and enhancements across ERP and EPM environments (critical)
- Assess risks, monitor impacts, and communicate changes to stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure systems are aligned with evolving finance and planning needs
- Help lead testing efforts for both ERP and EPM system changes
- Ensure functional teams properly execute testing scenarios and validate results
- Support change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new features and processes
Skills
- Experience supporting Oracle Cloud Financials (ERP) and strong exposure to Oracle EPM/EP (Planning, FCCS, or similar)
- Strong understanding of finance processes: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning (EPM focus)
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting application and data issues
- Proven ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements
- Experience with process documentation and continuous improvement
- Strong data analysis skills with reporting/query experience
- Experience supporting system upgrades, patches, and enhancements
- Excellent communication skills; ability to bridge technical and functional stakeholders
- Working knowledge of project management concepts
- Experience with Oracle EPM tools (Planning, FCCS, EPBCS, etc.)
- Experience with BI Publisher or similar reporting tools
- Exposure to AI tools/technologies
