[Remote] Product Designer, Design Systems
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PENN Interactive is North America’s leading provider of integrated entertainment, sports content, and casino gaming experiences. They are seeking a Product Designer to help scale and maintain their Design System, Alley-oop, by collaborating with cross-functional teams to create UI components and documentation while advocating for accessibility standards.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with other product designers, product managers, engineers, and various stakeholders, to contribute to Alley-oop, our Design System
- Create and maintain foundational patterns, UI components, and documentation, while following accessibility standards
- Support product designers to speed up their workflows by creating reusable and adaptable interactive components that leverage variants, design tokens, and component properties
- Anticipate how the components and styles in the system will affect those using them and optimize Figma libraries accordingly
- Advocate for Alley-oop across the organization and support cross-functional teams with its adoption
- Effectively communicate and articulate your thoughts on your designs and processes in order to justify your design decisions
- Being open and receptive to feedback, exploring iterations, and providing objective feedback for other product designers
- Always think about driving the system forward by helping to shape the roadmap and governance model in order to improve team and organizational processes
- Other duties as required
Skills
- A strong portfolio showcasing your process and experience with shaping Design Systems and full end-to-end experiences, using design thinking and user research to drive decisions
- You seek to develop your design leadership skills through mentorship and the way you elevate the quality of design - from actively seeking and providing feedback, communicating designs, and setting the standard for execution
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams in order to discover user problems and frame them to work on the right impactful solutions
- Comfortable working autonomously and proactively, while also knowing when to bring others in to move things forward quickly
- You're comfortable running internal or external workshops or presentations that cover complex concepts to technical and non-technical groups
- Experience designing for web and native platforms, WCAG compliant and accessible design
- 3+ years of experience designing digital products and experiences, including native apps for both iOS and Android
