[Remote] Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Specialist (1099)

Closed Loop Solutions is a recycling and commodity trading company helping organizations across the U.S. unlock value from recyclable materials. They are seeking a Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Specialist to drive new business through outbound prospecting and build a downstream partner network.
Responsibilities
- B2B outreach via phone, email, and CRM
- Engage MRFs, recyclers, county programs, and manufacturers
- Conduct discovery on commodities, volumes, and current vendor relationships
- Qualify leads and support deals through to close
- Identify new processors, buyers, brokers, and logistics partners that strengthen Closed Loop’s downstream network and improve commodity market access
- Onboard and manage recycling and vendor partners
- Support commodity trading and logistics coordination
- Manage quotes and assist in deal coordination
Skills
- Confident, professional communicator — phone-first
- Detail-oriented: clean notes, accurate follow-through
- Self-directed; you don't need hand-holding
- Comfortable talking to facility operators, vendors, and logistics staff
- Embraces a tech-enabled sales approach — CRM usage is mandatory, not optional
- Background in B2B sales, logistics, commodity trading, or manufacturing is a plus
