Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role you will:

  • Answer inbound calls from customers, providing detailed information on freight availability, shipment tracking, and service options.
  • Respond to email inquiries promptly, ensuring each request is addressed with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Enter data for both domestic and international bills of lading, air waybills, and other transportation documents into the AS400 system.
  • Maintain operational logs, including driver sign‑in sheets, cash logs, and filing systems in accordance with arenaflex policies.
  • Perform daily audits of outbound shipments to verify completeness, compliance, and accuracy.
  • Process inbound and outbound manifests using the AS400 platform, ensuring that all shipments are correctly recorded and closed out.
  • Prepare in‑bond documentation for smaller stations, supporting customs compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Accept and document container arrivals at smaller stations, verifying paperwork and ensuring proper handling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including routine vacuuming and trash removal at smaller stations.
  • Generate and update export booking spreadsheets, tracking dock receipts and ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including operations, logistics, and finance—to resolve complex issues and improve processes.
  • Attend to additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive mindset.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional education in business or logistics is a plus.
  • Proven ability to complete assignments on time and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building effective working relationships across departments.

  • Eligibility to complete basic hazardous materials training and pass any required certifications.

  • Previous experience in a call‑center or customer service role within the transportation or logistics sector.
  • Familiarity with the AS400 operating system, including functions like air‑bills, manifests, and customer service reports.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of freight operations, container handling, and export documentation.
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) tools or ticketing systems.
