Remote · USA Full-time New today

About arenaflex

arenaflex is a fast‑growing organization that designs and delivers high‑impact events and comprehensive financial‑education programs across the United States. Our purpose‑driven mission is to inspire individuals, transform communities, and equip people with the knowledge and tools they need to maximize their personal and professional impact. At arenaflex, we celebrate the achievements of every team member, foster a culture of continuous learning, and champion an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives thrive.

Why This Role Matters

Data is the lifeblood of our event‑driven operations. Every piece of information captured at a workshop, seminar, or community gathering must be accurately entered, validated, and stored so that our analysts, educators, and program managers can turn raw data into actionable insights. As a Temporary Data Entry Associate, you will be a critical link in this data pipeline, ensuring that the information collected on the ground is transformed into clean, reliable records that power strategic decisions, reporting, and future event planning.

Role Overview

This temporary, on‑site position is based at our headquarters in Palmetto, FL. You will work closely with arenaflex’s internal data‑management team, converting handwritten notes and paper forms gathered during events into digital records. The role offers flexible scheduling—primarily Fridays (once a month) and Saturdays (2‑3 times a month)—with times that can be adjusted to fit your availability. While no prior experience is required, a strong willingness to learn, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for supporting our mission are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from paper formats collected during events into the arenaflex database using a laptop and mouse.
  • Accurately interpret and input handwritten information, ensuring that each entry reflects the original source with high fidelity.
  • Cross‑reference entered data with source documents to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Update and maintain existing data records, correcting any discrepancies identified during verification.
  • Organize and file physical paperwork after data entry is complete, guaranteeing that no documents are misplaced or lost.
  • Collaborate with the data‑management team to resolve ambiguous entries and clarify any uncertainties.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed, such as preparing summary reports or supporting event logistics.

Essential Qualifications

  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, scanner).
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately—target speed of 40‑45 words per minute with 80‑90% accuracy.
  • Keen attention to detail; a commitment to delivering error‑free work.
  • Fundamental understanding of database concepts (e.g., records, fields, and basic navigation).
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent customer‑service orientation, with the ability to communicate politely and effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn new processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Previous data‑entry experience in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) or data‑entry platforms.
  • Familiarity with event‑management or financial‑education contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while adhering to strict deadlines.

Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Accuracy & Precision: Ability to spot and correct typographical errors, transposition mistakes, and inconsistencies.
  • Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage physical and digital files, ensuring that all source documents are accounted for.
  • Time Management: Prioritize tasks to meet daily and weekly data‑entry targets.
  • Problem‑Solving: Quickly identify ambiguous or illegible entries and seek clarification without delay.
  • Communication: Clearly convey questions or concerns to the data‑management team and document resolutions.
  • Adaptability: Adjust to changing schedules, evolving data‑entry tools, and new procedural updates.

Learning & Development Opportunities

Even though this is a temporary assignment, arenaflex is committed to your professional growth. While you are on‑site, you will have the chance to:

  • Observe and learn from seasoned data analysts who turn raw data into strategic insights.
  • Gain exposure to event‑management workflows, financial‑education program structures, and nonprofit reporting standards.
  • Participate in short, optional training sessions on data‑quality best practices, basic database navigation, and effective typing techniques.
  • Receive constructive feedback that can enhance your data‑entry speed, accuracy, and overall office productivity.

Work Environment & Culture at arenaflex

Our Palmetto headquarters offers a relaxed, entrepreneurial atmosphere where creativity and collaboration are encouraged. You will find:

  • A supportive team that values each individual’s contributions and celebrates collective achievements.
  • Open‑door communication with managers who are approachable and eager to mentor.
  • Flexible scheduling that respects your personal commitments while meeting the organization’s needs.
  • Complimentary meals for shifts longer than six hours, along with a variety of drinks and snacks to keep you energized.
  • A diverse, inclusive culture that actively promotes equity, belonging, and respect for all backgrounds.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

While the exact hourly rate will be discussed during the interview process, candidates can expect a competitive wage that reflects the skill set and responsibilities of the role. In addition to base pay, arenaflex offers:

  • Flexible work hours that can be adjusted to accommodate school, family, or other commitments.
  • Opportunities for future assignments and potential long‑term employment based on performance.
  • Access to a vibrant office environment with modern equipment and reliable internet connectivity.

  • Recognition programs that highlight outstanding contributions and encourage continuous improvement.
