Position Overview: Remote Chat Support Specialist

As a Chat Support Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the digital front door of our platform. You will engage with users in real time through our live chat interface, answering questions, resolving concerns, and guiding them through the features of the arenaflex app. Whether a user is trying to understand how to apply for their first gig, troubleshoot a payment issue, or learn how to update their profile, you will be the trusted voice on the other end of the conversation.

This role is ideal for individuals who excel in written communication, enjoy problem-solving, and want to build a foundation for a long-term career in customer support, user experience, or operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Outstanding Real-Time Support: Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries received through our live chat platform, ensuring every user feels heard, valued, and supported.
  • Educate Users About the Platform: Clearly explain how arenaflex works, including how to search for gigs, apply for jobs, complete assignments, and receive payment.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Assist users with technical questions, account concerns, navigation challenges, and other common issues, using empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills.
  • Escalate Complex Cases: Identify situations that require deeper investigation or specialized expertise and route them to the appropriate internal teams with thorough documentation.
  • Document Customer Interactions: Accurately log chat transcripts, customer feedback, recurring issues, and resolution steps in our internal ticketing system to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain High Customer Satisfaction: Strive to exceed key performance metrics including response time, resolution time, customer satisfaction score (CSAT), and quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to share user insights, flag trends, and contribute to platform enhancements.
  • Participate in Training and Development: Engage actively in onboarding sessions, ongoing workshops, product updates, and coaching opportunities to continuously sharpen your skills.
  • Uphold Brand Voice and Values: Represent arenaflex in every interaction with professionalism, warmth, and a genuine desire to help gig workers succeed.

What We’re Looking For: Essential Qualifications

  • No Degree Required: We value skills, character, and potential over formal credentials. A high school diploma or equivalent is welcome but not mandatory.
  • No Prior Experience Necessary: This is a true entry-level role. We will provide all the training you need to succeed.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy untangling questions, thinking critically, and finding solutions that make sense for the user.

Preferred (But Not Required) Skills

  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or any role involving direct public interaction.
  • Familiarity with live chat platforms, helpdesk software, or CRM tools such as Zendesk, Intercom, or Freshdesk.
  • Basic understanding of the gig economy, staffing platforms, or workforce apps.
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, French, or other languages commonly spoken in the U.S. workforce.
  • Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment.
