What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Part-Time Inbound Live Chat Customer Engagement Specialist, you will be the digital ambassador for arenaflex's automotive dealer clients. Your primary mission is to deliver exceptional chat-based customer service while identifying opportunities to convert inquiries into qualified leads. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in Real-Time Online Conversations: Handle a wide variety of customer inquiries via live chat, providing timely, accurate, and friendly responses across multiple platforms and clients.
  • Delivering Product and Service Information: Provide clear, accurate information about the dealers' vehicle inventory, services, promotions, and dealership offerings in a way that builds trust and confidence.
  • Scheduling Service and Sales Appointments: Narrow down on customer availability and needs to schedule test drives, service appointments, and follow-up consultations directly through the chat interface.
  • Capturing and Qualifying Lead Information: Collect customer contact details, vehicle preferences, and buying timelines to generate qualified leads for client review and follow-up.
  • Summarizing Customer Interactions: Document and summarize each chat interaction based on the customer's expressed needs, preferences, and intent, providing actionable insights for dealership clients.
  • Maintaining an Evolving Knowledge Base: Continuously develop and maintain a working knowledge of the diverse products, services, promotions, and dealership policies across multiple client accounts.
  • Adapting to Multiple Client Brands: Learn and adapt your tone, style, and product knowledge to represent various automotive dealer clients effectively and professionally.
  • Meeting Performance Goals: Work toward individual and team targets related to chat response time, lead conversion, appointment setting, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications

  • Residency Requirement: Must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, or Wisconsin. (Tennessee-based candidates are strongly preferred.)
  • Basic Computer Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of internet navigation, Windows-based applications, and standard office software. You should be comfortable switching between multiple browser tabs, chat platforms, and reference tools.
  • Excellent Written Communication Skills: Strong grammar, spelling, and typing skills are essential. You will be communicating with customers entirely through written chat, so clarity, tone, and professionalism matter.
  • Multitasking Ability: The capacity to handle multiple chat conversations simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, empathy, and attention to detail.
  • Professional Demeanor: A positive, upbeat, and customer-first attitude. You should be the kind of person who enjoys helping others and finds satisfaction in delivering great service.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with a quick-paced, ever-changing work environment. Dealer promotions, inventory, and customer needs shift frequently — flexibility is key.
  • Reliable Home Office Setup: Must own a personal computer or laptop equipped with a functioning webcam and microphone, plus a reliable high-speed internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in retail customer service, call centers, or related fields is a plus but not required.
  • Automotive Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the automotive industry, vehicle makes and models, or dealership operations is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Gaming or Live Chat Experience: Experience with real-time online communication platforms — including online gaming, live streaming chats, or social media engagement — is highly valued, as it demonstrates comfort with fast-paced digital interaction.

Training, Schedule, and Work Environment

arenaflex is committed to setting every new team member up for success. All selected candidates will participate in a comprehensive paid training program designed to familiarize you with our chat platforms, client brands, automotive knowledge, and customer engagement best practices.

  • Training Duration: 6 weeks of paid, part-time remote training.
  • Training Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM CST, delivered via Zoom.
  • Post-Training Schedule: Following successful completion of training, team members will work a flexible part-time schedule of 25–39 hours per week, with availability required five days per week including either a Saturday or Sunday.
  • Available Shifts: Day shift, evening shift, and night shift options may be available depending on business needs and your flexibility.
  • Work Location: Fully remote — work from the comfort of your home office anywhere within the eligible states listed above.
