Why This Role Matters

As a Senior Cloud Engineer – IAM Specialist, you will be a pivotal member of the Cloud Enablement & Operations team. Your expertise will drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of identity and access solutions that protect critical data, support compliance mandates, and enable our developers and business partners to move faster. This is a remote, full‑time position offering a competitive rate of $28 per hour, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Architecture: Create and champion robust IAM architectures that align with arenaflex’s security policies, regulatory requirements, and best‑in‑class cloud practices.
• Implementation: Lead the end‑to‑end deployment of identity solutions on the arenaflex Cloud Platform, including provisioning, federation, single sign‑on (SSO), and privileged access management.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with Cloud Architecture, Security, and Product teams to ensure IAM designs meet strategic objectives and are seamlessly integrated into broader cloud initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of emerging threats, industry trends, and new capabilities within the arenaflex Cloud Platform, recommending enhancements that strengthen our security posture.
• Mentorship: Coach junior engineers and cross‑functional stakeholders, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and proactive security awareness.
• Documentation & Communication: Produce clear, concise architecture diagrams, design documents, and runbooks that translate complex concepts into actionable guidance for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Compliance & Auditing: Support internal and external audit processes by providing evidence of IAM controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring adherence to HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing and operating IAM solutions in a large‑scale cloud environment.
• Deep expertise with identity services on the arenaflex Cloud Platform, including role‑based access control (RBAC), attribute‑based access control (ABAC), and federation protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth).
• Proven track record working with container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, encryption standards, and secure API design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

• arenaflex Cloud Platform Partner or Professional Certification (equivalent to Google Cloud or Azure certifications).
• Advanced knowledge of IAM best practices across multi‑cloud and hybrid environments.
• Experience implementing zero‑trust architectures and privileged access management solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, visual architecture diagrams using tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or draw.io.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of delivering innovative security solutions.
• Experience mentoring teams and driving a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
