Remote Data Entry Analyst (Typist) – Flexible Schedule, Mission-Driven Human Services Organization

Remote · USA Full-time New today

About arenaflex

arenaflex is a forward-thinking, mission-driven organization dedicated to strengthening families, empowering children, and building lasting community connections. Our work centers on supporting children and families who have achieved permanency—whether through reunification, adoption, legal guardianship, or successful transition out of foster care as youth aging out of the system. We believe that every family deserves access to the resources, advocacy, and encouragement they need to thrive independently, and we partner with community organizations, government agencies, and care networks to make that vision a reality.

At arenaflex, we blend compassion with innovation. Our team operates in a flexible hybrid remote environment, allowing our staff to do their best work while maintaining meaningful balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being. We are proud to foster a culture of continuous learning, mutual respect, and shared purpose, where every team member contributes directly to life-changing outcomes for the families and children we serve.

Position Overview

We are actively seeking a meticulous, mission-aligned Remote Data Entry Analyst (Typist) to join our expanding Human Services team. This is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who wants to combine sharp administrative and data management skills with deeply meaningful, purpose-driven work. While this position is categorized as a data entry role, your contributions will go far beyond typing—you will be the information backbone that supports case managers, advocates, and program leaders as they deliver services to vulnerable children and families across multiple regions.

As a Remote Data Entry Analyst (Typist) at arenaflex, you will be responsible for entering, updating, verifying, and maintaining sensitive records that directly impact service delivery for children who have achieved permanency. Your work ensures that case files, resource referrals, and community service records remain accurate, accessible, and actionable for the team members who depend on them most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and update client information, case notes, service referrals, and resource connections into arenaflex’s internal case management and database systems.
  • Review, verify, and correct data from intake forms, assessments, and documentation submitted by case workers and external partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality and full compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal privacy regulations when handling protected personal information related to children and families.
  • Generate routine reports, summaries, and data exports to support program managers, advocates, and leadership in evaluating service outcomes and community impact.
  • Identify data inconsistencies, missing information, and reporting errors, and proactively communicate these issues to the appropriate team members for resolution.
  • Support the team with document preparation, formatting, and quality control of outgoing communications, family resource guides, and internal documentation.
  • Collaborate remotely with case managers, support specialists, and program coordinators to ensure seamless flow of information across departments.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data entry workflows, templates, and best practices within arenaflex’s human services operations.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities offered by arenaflex.
  • Assist with special projects related to family advocacy, permanency outcomes tracking, and community resource mapping as needed.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with demonstrated equivalent experience in data entry, administrative support, or human services may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally within the local service area for training, team events, or community engagements.
  • Exceptional typing accuracy and speed, with a minimum of 50–60 WPM and a strong commitment to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and the ability to learn proprietary case management software quickly.
  • Strong written communication skills and a professional, compassionate tone when handling sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected to a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a human services, child welfare, adoption, foster care, or community-based nonprofit organization.
  • Familiarity with data entry into case management systems such as Salesforce, Apricot, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of permanency planning, family preservation services, kinship care, or youth transition programs.
  • Experience handling confidential records and demonstrated knowledge of privacy best practices.
  • Bilingual capabilities, particularly in Spanish, are a strong plus given the diverse communities we serve.

Core Skills and Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: You take pride in producing clean, accurate, and well-formatted data, recognizing that small errors can have big consequences in human services work.
  • Empathy and Cultural Sensitivity: You understand the sensitivity of the families we serve and approach your work with compassion and respect.
  • Time Management: You can prioritize multiple data entry tasks, meet deadlines, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Problem Solving: You proactively identify discrepancies in records and offer thoughtful solutions.
  • Adaptability: You are comfortable learning new systems, adjusting to evolving processes, and embracing feedback as a tool for growth.
  • Team Collaboration: Even while working remotely, you communicate openly, share knowledge, and uplift your colleagues.
