Position Overview

The Remote Physician Assistant – Virtual Clinical Care, Data Entry & Patient Education Specialist role is a full‑time, remote opportunity based out of Saint Cloud, USA. In this position, you will provide comprehensive, evidence‑based primary care to patients through virtual channels, while also handling critical data entry and administrative responsibilities that ensure the continuity and quality of care across the arenaflex network. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and support staff to deliver a “one clinic, one team” experience that blends clinical excellence with operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive primary‑care services—including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, health counseling, and preventive care—via secure telehealth platforms.
  • Perform virtual patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and arenaflex protocols.
  • Manage the full cycle of patient documentation, ensuring accurate, timely, and HIPAA‑compliant entry of clinical notes, orders, and follow‑up plans into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, follow‑up appointments, and referrals to specialists, maintaining a seamless flow of care that minimizes gaps and maximizes patient satisfaction.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, vaccination schedules, and chronic disease management, fostering active participation in their own health journeys.
  • Collaborate with the clinical operations team to support clinic opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and compliance with infection‑control standards, even in a virtual setting.
  • Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, data analytics reviews, and evidence‑based practice updates to continuously elevate the standard of care delivered by arenaflex.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for junior staff, sharing best practices, clinical insights, and operational tips that enhance team performance and patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and professional standards, including BLS certification, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required, and completion of mandatory fitness‑for‑duty assessments.
  • Maintain a balanced work‑life rhythm by completing all patient documentation and administrative tasks within the scheduled shift, ensuring no after‑hours carry‑over.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) with the authority to practice independently or under physician supervision in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience in a primary‑care, urgent‑care, or retail health setting, preferably with exposure to telehealth or virtual care models.
  • Successful completion of the Specimen Verification Test (or equivalent competency assessment) within 30 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in evidence‑based clinical decision‑making, including the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide health education.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual ability (e.g., Spanish) is highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including proficiency in CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Ability to successfully complete a fitness‑for‑duty (FIT) evaluation and, when required, wear a respirator mask in accordance with infection‑control protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Less than one (1) year of experience as a qualified provider but with completed preceptorship training at arenaflex or a comparable retail health organization.
  • Graduate‑level education such as a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, or a Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related field combined with extensive clinical experience.
  • Certification or training in specific therapeutic areas (e.g., immunizations, chronic disease management, women's health) that align with arenaflex’s service lines.
  • Experience with EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and data‑entry workflows, demonstrating a comfort with technology‑driven care delivery.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development, such as participation in conferences, workshops, or specialty certifications.
