Position Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will handle a high volume of inbound calls from customers on behalf of our client — a prominent power company. Your primary mission will be to deliver outstanding customer service while identifying opportunities to offer additional products and services that genuinely benefit customers. Every eligible call presents an opportunity to add value, and your success in upselling and cross-selling will be directly rewarded through our bonus and commission structure.

Core Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Answering a high volume of inbound calls from customers seeking assistance with their power service accounts.
  • Assisting customers with power outage reporting, status updates, and resolution inquiries.
  • Processing customer payments, setting up payment plans, and managing account billing questions.
  • Handling service start-up and service termination requests with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Offering and promoting additional programs including surge protection, home wiring services, and water heater repair programs to eligible customers on every applicable call.
  • Accurately entering data into multiple systems while maintaining active, engaging conversations with customers.
  • Meeting and exceeding established performance goals related to phone time, customer satisfaction, sales metrics, and quality assurance.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of all customer interactions in accordance with company policies.
  • Demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and patience during every customer interaction.
  • Participating in mandatory overtime during major storm events that affect our client's customers.

Essential Qualifications and Experience Requirements

To excel as a Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, candidates must bring a combination of customer service experience, sales aptitude, technical proficiency, and personal drive. We are looking for professionals who have already demonstrated success in inbound call handling and upselling within previous roles.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of verifiable recent experience working as an inbound customer service agent.
  • At least one year of experience with upselling and/or cross-selling components in previous roles, with the ability to share specific goals and results during the interview process.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and courteous phone presence.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Technically savvy with the ability to learn and navigate multiple software screens quickly while engaging in natural conversation with customers.
  • Solid organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Starting Base Pay: $14.00 per hour, equating to an annual salary range of $29,120 to $35,000 based on assigned hours.
  • Average Total Compensation: Up to $17 per hour when including performance-based bonuses and commissions.
  • Overtime Opportunities: Mandatory overtime available during storm outages, paid at applicable rates.
  • Daily Pay Access: Through Payactiv, access a portion of your earned wages within two days of working your shift.
