About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Insurance Technology

arenaflex is a market‑leading insurance organization that is redefining how insurance products are delivered in the digital age. With a heritage of trusted protection and a bold vision to become a technology‑first enterprise, arenaflex invests heavily in modern engineering practices, cloud‑native platforms, and a culture built on psychological safety, continuous improvement, and relentless innovation. Our mission is to empower every customer with friction‑less experiences, rapid service delivery, and the confidence that comes from a resilient, secure, and highly available technology ecosystem.

Why This Role Matters

As a Senior Engineer – CRM Customer Acquisitions, you will be at the heart of arenaflex’s transformation journey. You will design, build, and evolve the high‑performance, low‑latency platforms that power our customer acquisition funnels, ensuring that prospects move seamlessly from interest to policy issuance. This is a remote‑first position that offers you the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect Scalable Distributed Systems: Define, design, and implement resilient, horizontally‑scalable services that handle millions of transactions per day with sub‑second latency.
  • Drive Product Definition: Partner with product owners to translate business goals into technical specifications, creating clear roadmaps and delivering solutions that meet both user and performance expectations.
  • Full‑Lifecycle Collaboration: Work hand‑in‑hand with architecture, infrastructure, release management, security, and business stakeholders throughout the entire software development lifecycle—from ideation and design to testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Lead Technical Design Sessions: Facilitate design workshops, code reviews, and architecture discussions, championing best practices and raising the overall quality bar for engineering across arenaflex.
  • Build Reusable Components: Create and maintain libraries, frameworks, and patterns that can be leveraged across multiple teams, reducing duplication and accelerating delivery.
  • Leverage arenaflex Cloud Services: Utilize a suite of arenaflex‑branded cloud tools for task management, source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and real‑time monitoring to deliver robust Java applications with minimal supervision.
  • Mentor and Coach: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development support to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Share Best Practices: Actively contribute to internal knowledge bases, community of practice forums, and process improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.

Essential Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, C#) and a solid foundation in object‑oriented design.
  • 3+ years of experience architecting and designing both new and legacy systems, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Proficiency in designing and consuming web services (REST/SOAP) and integrating enterprise middleware such as Apache Camel, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DevOps concepts, cloud architecture, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
  • Hands‑on experience with continuous delivery pipelines, Git version control, and source repositories (e.g., GitHub) within a cloud environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of delivering solutions in fast‑paced, startup‑like environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of leading projects, presenting technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, and influencing decision‑makers.

Preferred Qualifications & Technical Depth

  • Experience with front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Flutter) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s CRM platform (formerly Salesforce) – including standard objects, custom object creation, validation rules, Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Knowledge of event‑driven integration patterns and experience with arenaflex‑branded event frameworks.
  • Hands‑on experience with arenaflex Database Solutions (formerly MS SQL Server and Oracle) for designing high‑throughput data models and query optimization.
  • Exposure to arenaflex Cloud Platform (formerly AWS, GCP, Azure) for building cloud‑native services, serverless functions, and containerized workloads.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tooling, automated testing frameworks, and performance monitoring suites.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Leadership: Ability to set technical direction, influence architectural decisions, and mentor peers.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working across diverse teams, including product, security, infrastructure, and business owners.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in an environment where priorities shift quickly and new challenges emerge regularly.
  • Quality Focus: Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code, automated testing, and rigorous code review practices.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Deep empathy for end‑users and a drive to create seamless, reliable experiences.
  • Continuous Learning: Passion for staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
