Why This Role Matters

In today’s data‑centric world, the ability to collect, cleanse, and visualize information accurately is a competitive differentiator. The Entry‑Level Remote Data Entry & Analytics Associate position sits at the heart of arenaflex’s data ecosystem. You will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and creating compelling visual reports that drive business outcomes. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or early‑career professionals who are eager to apply their analytical skills, learn advanced tools such as Power BI and SQL, and grow into a data‑leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Data Services team, you will work closely with senior analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end data solutions. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:

  • Report Development: Design, build, and maintain ad‑hoc and scheduled reports using Power BI, Excel, and other visualization tools to support data‑driven decision making.
  • Data Quality Management: Create and enforce data‑quality standards, develop validation rules, and monitor data integrity across multiple sources.
  • Pipeline Construction: Develop new data ingestion pipelines from source systems to the Data Warehouse, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Collaboration with Business Analysts: Translate business requirements into technical specifications, maintain thorough documentation, and secure sign‑offs for all deliverables.
  • Data Modeling: Build and maintain logical and physical data models, employing star‑schema techniques and other best‑practice methodologies.
  • Visualization & Storytelling: Apply data‑visualization principles to craft clear, impactful dashboards that communicate insights to non‑technical audiences.
  • Process Automation: Identify repetitive manual processes, propose automation solutions, and implement enhancements using Power BI Dataflows, SSIS, or other ETL tools.
  • Data Exploration & Analysis: Conduct deep‑dive analyses on large datasets, uncover patterns, and recommend actionable insights.
  • Issue Resolution: Validate data against defined criteria, troubleshoot discrepancies, and remediate data errors in collaboration with IT and data governance teams.
  • Governance Participation: Contribute to the Data Governance program by updating the data dictionary, establishing policies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following foundational experience and knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis or data entry, preferably in a remote or distributed environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Power BI, including creating dimensions, measures, filters, calculated columns, DAX queries, and interactive visualizations.
  • Solid understanding of DAX, SQL, and M‑Code, with the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and transformation.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or comparable big‑data ingestion platforms.
  • Strong background in data modeling, especially using star‑schema designs, and familiarity with normalization concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and the ability to develop and debug advanced SQL scripts.
  • Exposure to Smartsheets or similar collaborative work‑management tools for tracking project milestones.
  • Excellent analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret large data sets, identify trends, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivation, strong time‑management, and the ability to meet deadlines in a remote work setting.

While not mandatory, the following attributes will set you apart from other candidates:

  • Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
