Role Overview

The Strategic Customer Engagement Deal Lead is a senior, customer‑facing role that owns the end‑to‑end lifecycle of high‑impact, complex deals across the Americas, EMEA, and APJ regions. You will partner directly with C‑level executives, IT leaders, and cross‑functional business units to craft and execute strategic cloud solutions that drive revenue, accelerate adoption, and solidify arenaflex as the preferred technology partner. This position sits at the intersection of sales, solution architecture, finance, and legal, requiring a blend of strategic thinking, negotiation acumen, and collaborative leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Leadership: Own the full deal cycle for strategic, large‑scale, and highly competitive opportunities, from initial discovery through contract sign‑off.
  • Strategic Planning: Design and articulate comprehensive deal strategies that align with customer business outcomes, incorporating pricing models, discount structures, and go‑to‑market plans.
  • Value Proposition Development: Work closely with solution architects and product teams to shape arenaflex’s value proposition, ensuring it addresses the unique challenges of each prospect.
  • Revenue & Adoption Growth: Drive measurable cloud adoption and revenue expansion by identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with regional sales teams, service delivery groups, finance, legal, and compliance to remove obstacles and secure deal approvals.
  • Executive Engagement: Build trusted advisor relationships with C‑suite stakeholders, influencing strategic direction and fostering long‑term partnerships.
  • Negotiation & Closure: Lead high‑stakes negotiations, manage deal blockers, and ensure timely closure while maintaining profitability and compliance.
  • Presentation & Communication: Deliver compelling deal proposals, executive briefings, and solution demos that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture lessons learned, contribute to best‑practice playbooks, and mentor junior team members on deal strategy and execution.

Essential Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, or complex deal negotiation within the technology or cloud services sector.
  • Proven track record of closing deals valued at $10 million+ and managing multi‑year contracts.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architectures, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS models, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience developing pricing models, financial forecasts, and ROI analyses.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Fluency in English; additional language proficiency (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, German) is a plus.

  • Experience working within a global cloud provider or large‑scale technology vendor.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS) in Business, Technology Management, or a related field.
