Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry and Validation:
  • Accurately enter customer and account data from source documents within time limits.
  • Compile, verify accuracy, and sort information to prepare source data for computer entry.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct incompatibilities, and check the output.
  • Database Management:
  • Update existing data in the system as needed.
  • Retrieve data from databases or electronic files as requested.
  • Ensure proper use of office systems to handle and maintain data.
  • Maintain records of tasks, files, and progress.
  • Document Handling:
  • Scan documents into document management systems or databases.
  • Securely manage the storage of data.
  • Check completed work for accuracy and make any required changes immediately.
  • Research and Information Collection:
  • Research to gather additional information needed to complete and verify the accuracy of data.
  • Contact originators of the document to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
  • Reporting and Communication:
  • Generate reports detailing the status of the data entry process and any discrepancies or issues encountered.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding any issues during the data entry process or any inconsistencies found in the data.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on workflow and data management.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Operate office equipment such as printers and scanners for managing electronic files and physical documents.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the data entry software and other related business systems.
  • Time Management:
  • Manage and organize work schedules to meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Prioritize and process data in an efficient and timely manner without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Suggest changes or improvements to increase the data entry processes accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in ongoing training to improve data entry and document management skills.

Key Requirements Age and Education

  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
  • Must be currently enrolled in high school or possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in typing with a minimum typing speed requirement (e.g., 30 words per minute).
  • Basic familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel) or similar software.
  • Experience in handling basic computer operations and navigating the internet.

Communication Skills

  • Good written communication skills to accurately convey information.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions given in English.

Attention to Detail

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in data.

Equipment

  • Must have access to a reliable computer and a stable internet connection.
  • Should have a quiet and private space for working without interruptions.
