We partner with a network of forward‑thinking retailers, technology providers, and supply‑chain experts to bring bold ideas to life. If you thrive in an environment where curiosity is rewarded, collaboration is the norm, and impact is measured by tangible customer outcomes, you’ll feel right at home at arenaflex.

Role Overview – Customer Experience Analyst (Contingent)

This contract position is a critical bridge between arenaflex’s product development teams and the customers who experience our technology first‑hand. Reporting to the Program Management Office, you will evaluate emerging hardware solutions, gather and analyze real‑world feedback, and translate insights into actionable recommendations that shape the next generation of arenaflex’s retail innovations. The role is 100 % remote with an expectation of up to 50 % domestic travel to customer sites, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy a blend of analytical work and on‑site engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Evaluation: Conduct hands‑on assessments of new hardware and software prototypes at customer locations, focusing on functionality, reliability, and overall customer experience (CX).
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Capture quantitative and qualitative data—including usage metrics, error logs, and shopper sentiment—to quantify the impact of each technology deployment.
  • Feedback Synthesis: Translate raw data into clear, concise reports that highlight strengths, identify pain points, and propose enhancements for development teams.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, product management, UX design, and operations teams to ensure that field insights are integrated into product roadmaps.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the shopper, championing their needs and expectations throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Presentation & Communication: Deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership, summarizing findings, risk/reward analyses, and recommended next steps.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in planning and scheduling field deployments, ensuring that timelines, safety protocols, and logistical considerations are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes, improve data capture methods, and enhance overall program efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • A four‑year degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands‑on product development experience, specifically in consumer hardware design, testing, or deployment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, including the ability to interpret large data sets, generate insights, and make data‑driven recommendations.
  • Experience teaching or presenting technical material to non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and engagement.
  • Track record of assessing risk/reward trade‑offs and making decisive recommendations in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field (additional certifications are a plus).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate data collection and analysis tasks.
  • Formal training or coursework in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience with retail technology deployments, such as checkout‑free systems, IoT sensors, or in‑store analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based data pipelines and visualization tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Tableau, Power BI).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose evidence‑based solutions.
  • Customer‑Centric Focus: Passion for understanding shopper behavior and translating that empathy into product improvements.
  • Technical Acumen: Comfort working with hardware prototypes, firmware, and software interfaces; ability to troubleshoot on the fly.
  • Effective Communication: Clear, concise writing and presentation skills; adept at tailoring messages to engineers, executives, and retail partners alike.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to work across functional teams, build consensus, and drive initiatives forward.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift quickly and new challenges emerge daily.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50 % of the time, primarily within the United States, to conduct on‑site evaluations.

Work Environment & Travel

While the role is primarily remote, you will spend a significant portion of your time on the road, visiting retail locations, distribution centers, and pilot sites across the country. arenaflex provides a flexible work‑from‑home policy, a travel stipend, and comprehensive insurance coverage for work‑related travel. Candidates based near major airline hubs will find logistics more convenient, but we welcome applicants from any U.S. location willing to meet the travel requirements.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive hourly rate ranging from $38 – $42 per hour, commensurate with experience and expertise.
  • Eligibility for performance‑based bonuses tied to successful technology deployments and measurable CX improvements.
  • Access to arenaflex’s learning portal, offering courses on data analytics, project management, and emerging retail technologies.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options (available to contract employees through partner providers).
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions (subject to eligibility).
  • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule to support work‑life balance.
  • Professional development budget for certifications, conferences, and industry events.
  • Inclusive, collaborative culture that celebrates diversity, encourages curiosity, and rewards innovative thinking.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex is committed to nurturing talent and providing clear pathways for advancement. As a Customer Experience Analyst, you will gain exposure to senior leadership, cross‑functional product teams, and high‑visibility retail partners.
