With a legacy of more than a century in pharmacy care, arenaflex blends cutting‑edge technology with compassionate service to deliver an omnichannel experience that reaches millions of customers each day. Our mission is simple: to improve lives through better health. Whether a customer walks into a neighborhood pharmacy or accesses services through our digital platforms, they encounter a consistent, high‑quality experience driven by dedicated professionals who care about community health.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s fast‑moving health‑care environment, accurate data entry and patient enrollment are the backbone of safe medication dispensing, regulatory compliance, and seamless care coordination. As a Remote Data Entry Specialist for arenaflex, you will be the trusted guardian of patient information, ensuring that every prescription, refill request, and enrollment detail is captured precisely and securely. Your work directly supports pharmacists, prescribers, and patients, helping to reduce errors, accelerate service delivery, and uphold the highest standards of privacy under HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter patient and prescription data into arenaflex’s proprietary pharmacy management system with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process new patient enrollments, verify insurance information, and update medication histories according to state and federal guidelines.
  • Handle inbound calls, messages, and online inquiries from patients, prescribers, and third‑party payers, providing clear and courteous assistance.
  • Resolve “outside oddball” cases by investigating missing information, interpreting abbreviated medical notations (e.g., SIG codes), and coordinating follow‑up actions with the appropriate clinical teams.
  • Submit and track top‑off orders, ensuring that medication refills are processed without delay while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists across multiple locations, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
  • Maintain a dynamic specialist certification within the first 90 days and retain an active certification throughout employment.
  • Document all interactions in the system, generate reports for quality assurance, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency: ability to start and shut down a PC, navigate using a mouse, open and close applications, save and print documents, and access online resources.
  • Fundamental web‑search skills: entering URLs, bookmarking pages, using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms.
  • Intermediate typing ability (minimum 25 WPM) with a focus on accuracy and the capacity to type from memory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • At least one year of experience in a pharmacy setting, either retail or call‑center environment.
  • Experience with state‑licensed pharmacy technician certification or a comparable credential recognized by a state pharmacy board.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high‑quality customer service to both inbound and outbound callers, adhering to service level agreements and quality metrics.
  • Advanced typing proficiency (approximately 35 WPM) with the ability to type accurately from memory.
  • Bilingual capability in Spanish and English, enabling effective communication with a diverse patient population.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in data entry to prevent medication errors and ensure compliance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA, state pharmacy regulations, and prescription‑medication handling protocols.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients, prescribers, and insurance representatives.
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to investigate discrepancies, interpret medical abbreviations, and resolve complex enrollment issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Working effectively with pharmacists, technicians, and support staff across multiple locations.
  • Time Management: Managing high‑volume call and data entry workloads while meeting deadlines.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in employee development. As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will have access to:

  • Structured onboarding and mentorship programs that guide you through certification and system mastery.
