Biology Researcher (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training About The Role What if your years of biology training could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex problems in genetics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics? We're looking for biology experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help build and refine cutting-edge AI models by designing and solving advanced scientific problems that push the boundaries of what AI can understand. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for scientists who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. No prior AI experience needed — just deep domain expertise and a passion for rigorous science.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to design challenging, nuanced problem statements
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning and outputs for accuracy, depth, and rigor
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance model performance
  • Ensure scientific clarity, precision, and depth across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Hold a Master's or PhD in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field
  • Deeply knowledgeable in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
  • Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or analytical purposes
  • Exceptionally clear and precise in written communication — you can explain complex science without losing the detail
  • Detail-oriented and methodical — you hold your work to a high standard
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with AI tools, language models, or scientific benchmarking
  • Background spanning multiple biology sub-disciplines
  • Experience writing for scientific publication, grant applications, or technical documentation
