[Remote] Project Manager, Social Impact

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is a leader in the fight to end diabetes. They are seeking a Project Manager to join their Program Management Office, responsible for managing project scope, budgets, timelines, and teams to improve the lives of people living with diabetes.

Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Aligns resources to accomplish project tasks and key milestones with clear accountability for project deliverables
  • Communicates and collaborates with development and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and seek funding for new projects, programs, and systems
  • Directs the work of a project team with overall responsibility for managing scope, budget, timeline, staffing and stakeholders, vendors, and contractual deliverables
  • Accountable for project deliverables, overall project success, and supporting contract renewals to expand ADA’s offerings
  • Serves as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, volunteers, customers, and vendors
  • Maintains process documentation and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement for all organization initiatives
  • Facilitates quality management and change management techniques for project management
  • Effectively estimates and plans project resources, schedules, and budgets

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum expected years of relevant experience: 5 years in project management and/or delivery of programs, products, or services
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, such as PMBOK
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project or Smartsheets)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to form and lead high-performing teams
  • Critical thinking and the ability to manage complex projects
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Strong change management skills
  • Demonstrates a high level of personal accountability and holds others accountable for results

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification is preferred
