[Remote] UI/UX Designer, Defense Technology Consultant

The role involves designing user flows and interfaces for complex, high-stakes environments, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready screens
- Simplify complex intelligence and operational workflows
- Work closely with engineers from concept through implementation
- Help build and maintain a consistent design system
- Design data-heavy interfaces for secure and sensitive environments
- Incorporate feedback from government and national security users
Skills
- Direct defense technology experience is required
- Must be based in the United States
- 5+ years of UI/UX or product design experience
- Strong portfolio showing complex enterprise or operational software
- Advanced experience with Figma
- Experience working closely with product and engineering teams
- Comfortable working with sensitive information
- Available on a consistent consulting basis
- Experience with defense, intelligence, cybersecurity, command-and-control, or government software is strongly preferred
- Experience at companies such as Palantir, Anduril, Shield AI, CACI, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, or similar is a strong advantage
