They are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and operational support for Client Legal Services attorneys, focusing on insurance defense litigation matters. The role involves managing case-related data, scheduling litigation events, and ensuring compliance within established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain compliance within Team Connect (Litigation Management System)
- Enter, update, and manage case data, including pleadings, motions, discovery, trial, arbitration, and mediation correspondence
- Manage calendars and coordinate scheduling for hearings, depositions, mediations, and related litigation events
- Prepare, track, and maintain files and documentation in accordance with established procedures
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal partners and external contacts to support case progression
- Make basic case support decisions within defined guidelines and under attorney supervision
- Manage competing priorities and adjust to changing workflows in a litigation environment
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Perform tasks accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines
Skills
- Administrative experience in a legal, insurance, or professional services environment, preferably supporting insurance defense litigation
- Experience supporting litigation activities, including scheduling and case coordination
- Working knowledge of legal terminology, civil litigation processes, and case management systems required
- Familiarity with various Texas courts and local procedures required
- Court approval experience and knowledge of the Texas court system considered a strong plus
- 2-3 years of experience
