[Remote] Analyst

Roofstock is the leading end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes, focused on reinventing the rental housing ecosystem. The Analyst role involves supporting underwriting, portfolio analysis, and business development initiatives within the real estate investment team, ideal for someone early in their career looking to build expertise in real estate investing.

Responsibilities

• Support underwriting and financial analysis for new investment opportunities, partnerships, and business development initiatives (cash flow, yield, IRR, scenario modeling)
• Partner with Business Development and Investment teams to evaluate new opportunities, including builder relationships, portfolio deals, and strategic partnerships
• Analyze portfolio performance across key metrics including occupancy, rent growth, expenses, and NOI
• Build and maintain financial models to support both new opportunities and ongoing portfolio insights
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform growth strategy
• Assist in preparing investment memos, presentations, and reporting materials for internal stakeholders
• Track pipeline activity and support alignment between underwriting, deal strategy, and execution
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Property Management teams

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
• 2 - 4+ years of experience in real estate, investment banking, consulting, FP&A, or analytical roles
• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
• Highly proactive, strong leadership skills
• Demonstrated experience operating in an AI powered workflow
• Exposure to underwriting, valuation, or business case development
• Analytical mindset with ability to connect data to business decisions
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Exposure to real estate investing (SFR, multifamily, or residential)
• Experience with SQL, Tableau, Sigma, or similar tools
• Interest in business development, partnerships, or growth strategy
