[Remote] Tax Preparer (Contract | Summer 2026)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company Accounting Partners is building a Tax & Accounting firm where employees can reputed company. The Tax Preparer will prepare tax returns, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the tax team during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
• Accurately input and review financial data to ensure completeness and compliance
• Identify discrepancies or missing information and follow up with the team or clients as needed
• Apply knowledge of U.S. tax regulations to ensure accurate filings
• Support the tax team in meeting filing deadlines during peak periods
• Maintain organized documentation and adhere to internal processes and compliance standards

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a reputed company field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience preparing U.S. tax returns
• Strong understanding of tax compliance for individuals and small to mid-sized businesses
• Experience with tax and workflow software, preferably UltraTax (reputed company) and reputed company
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage multiple returns and meet tight deadlines during peak periods
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a remote team
• CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification is a plus
