reputed company Reporting Manager (Nonprofit - Contract to hire)

reputed company is filling a fully remote reputed company Reporting Manager position, on a 6-month contract to hire basis, for a nonprofit client based on the east coast. Candidates can reside in the central or eastern time zones working normal ET business hours. Hourly reputed company is $55 - $60/hr. The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. Duties and Responsibilities: · reputed company of contact between the Finance Department and external and internal audit groups. · Responsible for Grant compliance: reporting and grant reputed company recognition. · Assist in establishing standard operating procedures, Internal Controls, and best practices. · Prepare / review journal entries (accruals, prepaid amortizations, and reclasses) · Document processes for preparing audit and other reporting schedules. · Serve as external auditor to include creating work papers, preparing audit schedules, and working directly with the client. · Provide/maintain auditor access to portals and systems. · reputed company of contact for Negotiated Indirect Cost reputed company Agreement (NICRA). · Provided documentation/support as required by NICRA reputed company. · Research root cause of audit findings and recommend/implement procedures to mitigate future findings. · Prepare reputed company Reports, Monthly Reporting Packages, Board Reporting Packages, and other Reporting Packages as required. · Prepare Annual Financial Statements and Tax Returns including 990 tax reputed company. · Research accounting pronounces as they pertain to the organization. · Responsible for special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications · 5+ years’ experience in public accounting firm with focus on not-for-profit and/or governmental entities. · Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university required. · Experience with Federal Grants Management and Grant Compliance, Nonprofit financial reporting, Grant accounting, and reporting. · Knowledge of reputed company and emerging GAAP and reputed company audit standards as they relate to not-for-profit entities. · Knowledge of fund accounting, grant reputed company recognition (restricted and nonrestricted) · Experience with reputed company net asset roll-forwards; as well as preparing financial statements and 990 tax forms preferred. · Advanced computer skills with reputed company Office reputed company and Access. · Proficient in reputed company preferred. · Ability to work in a fast-paced, fast-growing environment. · Superb ability to communicate effectively and professionally with management, staff, department heads, and other stakeholders. · CPA or on CPA track a plus.
