Employee Relations Partner – Part time 20-30 hours per week... To be located in Southeastern US (remote) Travel requirements: 10-15% The ER Partner provides support to employees, leaders and HR Business Partners by providing best practices and guidance on issues concerning employment policy, procedure or practice. This role will balance compliance, risk, and empathy while conducting investigations and assisting management in addressing performance, and other, concerns. The ER Partner works closely with the HR Business Partner team while leading resolution of issues such as policy violation, allegations of discrimination or harassment, disciplinary actions, performance improvement and recommendations for termination. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all state/federal leave laws in coordination with related company policies. Role Details: In partnership with the HR Business Partners, advise people managers on a wide variety of personnel issues to support a productive work environment for employees and ensure fair employment practices and compliance with employment legislation. Evaluate the merits and consequences of corrective action, including the development and implementation of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). Align with HR Business Partners on any recommended actions prior to taking action. Educate leaders on creating PIP documents, assist in editing PIPs, conduct PIP communication meetings in partnership with the manager, and track progress. Conduct all aspects of investigations into internal grievances as well as those filed with federal and state agencies. Partner with HRBPs and leadership in determining any needed actions post-investigation and ensure the completion of post-investigation activities. Liaise and support the legal team in compiling documentation for employment relations claims. Partner with HR Business Partners in creation and maintenance of operational processes and practices which ensure compliance and consistency in the execution and administration of employee relations cases. Collaborate with HR and Business stakeholders to address areas of opportunity in current practices or process, maintaining a mindset of continuous improvement. Participate in the creation and rollout of relevant policy and program initiatives. Prepare leaders for employee termination conversations, attend termination meetings, and ensure the completion of needed administrative steps. Create and deliver regular employee relations related reporting. Complete other various data and reporting needs as assigned by HR leadership. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications and Background: • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related degree • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Employee Relations/Human Resources • Strong Microsoft Office software skills • Working autonomously from remote location from leader • Demonstrated experience interacting with employees at all levels and providing excellent coaching and support • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail, organizational and follow through skills • Strong communication skills • Ability to handle and manage multiple assignments and projects while effectively balancing schedules and ad hoc requests • Superior Working knowledge of EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ACA and general employment policies/programs and the ability to communicate such in a concise way to employees Apply Job!
