Legal Transcription Specialist - Independent Contractor

We are actively seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with significant experience transcribing depositions and hearings for a 100% remote opportunity as Independent Contractors... You will cover content such as depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. This role requires intense attention to detail, familiarity with legal terminology, and excellent grammar, as you will process audio recordings while strictly adhering to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and receive support from our in-office team whenever necessary. Skill Requirements • Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription required. • Excellent listening skills. • Strong adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides. • Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Ability to collaborate remotely. • Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy. • Ability to process extreme audio/text content (may include sensitive material). • Ability to pass a background check. • Familiarity with legal terminology. • Court reporting students will also be considered. • Currently, this opportunity is not available to Massachusetts or California residents.
