Skills • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Proficient in preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses (1040, 1065, 1120, etc.) • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage multiple clients and deliver high-quality services • Experience with IRS audit defense and tax planning strategies Responsibilities • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. • Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality tax services. • Identify and mitigate tax risks through careful planning and analysis. • Coordinate and communicate with client personnel to gather tax information and resolve tax-related issues. • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and advise clients accordingly. • Assist with IRS audit defense, including preparing responses and creating schedules. • Supervise and mentor junior members of the tax team (if needed). Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; Master’s in Taxation or CPA certification is highly preferred. • Experience with tax returns for individuals and businesses (1040, 1065, 1120, etc.). • 3+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
