Overview: The Technical Data Analyst is responsible for capturing, processing, and connecting data from various sources to transform it into actionable insights. This role involves transforming large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and creating intuitive dashboards and reports that provide clear, data-driven answers to business questions. The Technical Data Analyst will work closely with... cross-functional teams to ensure that data is effectively utilized to inform decisions and optimize business performance, with a strong emphasis on data visualization and reporting to communicate complex information in a meaningful way. Responsibilities: Data Collection and Integration: • Collaborate with data engineers to identify and gather relevant data from various internal and external sources. • Integrate, clean, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness. • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support ongoing data analysis. Data Analysis and Problem Solving: • Perform complex data analysis using statistical methods, programming languages (e.g., Python, R), and SQL to address business questions and challenges. • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data sets to uncover insights and provide data-driven recommendations. • Develop predictive models and perform advanced analytics to support strategic decision-making. Data Visualization and Reporting: • Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to present findings to stakeholders. • Translate complex data analysis into clear, concise, and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Regularly report on key metrics, trends, and findings to inform business strategies and operational improvements. Collaboration and Communication: • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and business units, to understand data needs and deliver solutions. • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on data-related initiatives. • Provide training and support to business users on data tools and best practices in data analysis. Continuous Improvement: • Stay current with the latest developments in data analytics, technologies, and best practices. • Propose and implement improvements to data analysis processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities to advance technical skills and knowledge. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on technical data management and analytics. • Proven experience with data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL, Python, R, or similar. • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. • MUST BE US CITIZEN Preferred Qualifications: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets. • Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages used in data analysis. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity. • Knowledge and experience working within a cybersecurity or IT centric environment.
