Who we are: We are building the future of patient advocacy ... People with complex or chronic conditions are often feeling very overwhelmed, and isolated trying to manage their care, prepare appointments, and get answers to some of their questions. We are hoping to change that. We connect people with complex health conditions with a health advocate who helps fight for them: their champion in the healthcare ecosystem. We help them create a care plan, and simplify/automate all the steps around it (care logistics, research solutions, book & prepare appointments etc.) using technology. We are looking for an empathetic and knowledgeable nurse to scale the support we provide to our users. This is a flexible opportunity, we are willing to work around your schedule to some extent. What you would do: (All remotely) - Essentially be a user's health advocate / care navigator / health coach - Be matched up with users, and help them manage their care with empathy - Lead 30 to 45-minute sessions with them (phone or video) - Create a care plan for them, help them prepare appointments, research solutions for them, understand their diagnosis, answer questions, be a thought-partner in thinking through next steps - Answering questions via email - Be a thought-partner for us and help us shape the future of the company, be a part of all strategic decisions, help help craft the product roadmap to build the right tools to provide users with the best and most caring advocacy service possible. Schedule & Compensation This is a flexible opportunity. We would like someone who can commit to at least 10 hours a week, and scale up to 20 hours/week based on our growth/needs, or beyond. We would just ask that you provide availabilities at a few different times throughout the week for sessions with users (not just a single day of the week for example). You will be paid for your time both for email interactions with users, and live sessions. Compensation is between $33-$40/hr based on profile & availability. Flexible contract duration, can also lead to a full-time role, or more permanent part-time contract. What we're looking for - Very empathetic care partner, someone willing to roll up their sleeves and help patients who tend to feel particularly helpless or lost find solutions. - Exceptional and caring communicator. Someone who can instantly make users feel understood, care for, and knows the right questions to ask. - Scrappy mindset. We are still early, and we are looking for someone who is ready to be a true partner, provide feedback to help us improve the solution, can help establish the right processes, define what great looks like, and is comfortable with important roles with relatively fuzzy definitions. - Experience in care navigation, coordination, or health advocacy roles. - Ideally registered nurse, but would consider other adjacent qualifications & experience. RN license isn't a legal requirement to deliver the care we provide. - Access to a computer & good enough internet connection for video calls (Bonus: deep experience with complex conditions like fibromyalgia) If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
