Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of accurate federal, state, and local tax returns in a timely manner. Support both internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to established financial policies. Maintain meticulous financial records related to tax and audit activities, ensuring data integrity. Collaborate effectively with the accounting team to enhance operational efficiency. Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders regarding tax-related matters and audit results. Required Skills Proven experience in bookkeeping, particularly with a focus on tax and audit functions, ideally within a real estate lending context. Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online, along with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a remote setting. Qualifications A minimum of three years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, with an emphasis on tax and audit processes. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
