Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Credentialing Specialist/Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that healthcare providers meet the qualifications and standards required for credentialing within our organization and perform all aspects of credentialing physicians nationwide. Your expertise in medical terminology and understanding of the credentialing processes and medical billing will be essential in maintaining compliance and supporting the quality of care for our patients. Duties • Review and verify the credentials of healthcare providers, including education, training, licensure, and certifications. • Maintain accurate records of credentialing documentation and ensure compliance with established standards. • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for credentialing applications. • Monitor expiration dates of licenses and certifications, ensuring timely renewals. • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding credentialing status and requirements. • Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards related to credentialing in the medical field. • Assist in the development and implementation of policies related to credentialing processes. Qualifications • Proven experience in Credentialing and Billing is a must. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology is essential. • Familiarity with credentialing standards and processes is a must. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy. • Strong written and verbal communication skills are imperative to interact with healthcare professionals effectively. • Proficient in using computer systems and software. • Must be profecient in Excel.
