Consultant - Internal Audit Consultant

This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately. Duration: 12 Months Contract Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid) Salary: $65.00-$70.00/Hourly Role: Internal Audit Consultant Primary Skills: Finance Accounting (FI) Role Description: The Internal Audit Consultant must have 6+ years of experience. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough evaluations of the organization's financial systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements. - Develop, implement effective strategies, and action plans to ensure the organization is prepared for SOX compliance audits. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, internal audit, IT, and legal, to identify potential gaps in internal controls and develop actionable plans to address them. - Stay updated with the latest changes in SOX regulations and industry best practices and provide guidance and training to stakeholders on compliance requirements. - Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls through testing and ongoing risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements to mitigate risks and strengthen the control environment.
