About the position The Sr. DevOps/DevX Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure solutions that align with company standards. This position requires a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and various DevOps tools, with a focus on improving developer productivity and implementing DevX strategies. The role is hybrid, based in Atlanta, Georgia, and involves collaboration with leaders to integrate DevX strategies with business and technology roadmaps. Responsibilities • Lead, assess, and deliver the Developer productivity & DevOps productivity improvement Platform using BackStage. , • Implement tools and systems necessary for the development and continuous improvement of the DevX practice. , • Collaborate with leaders to integrate DevX strategies with business, product, and technology roadmaps. , • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the DevX function and monitor the impact of strategic initiatives on developer satisfaction and productivity. , • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure microservices architectures. , • Oversee the integration and deployment processes using Jenkins and GITHUB. , • Provide expertise in SRE practices to ensure system reliability and performance. , • Implement security best practices on Google Cloud Platform to protect data and applications. , • Utilize DevOps tools to automate and streamline development and operational processes. , • Manage and optimize GCP Platform resources to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations. , • Develop and maintain Docker containers for consistent and reliable application deployment. Requirements • 7 to 11 years of IT experience. , • Strong background in building developer portal using Backstage (or similar platform). , • Technical knowledge in React/Node and DevOps principles. , • Familiarity with SPACE & DORA metrics. , • Experience with DevOps tools and GCP services. , • Knowledge of microservices, Jenkins, GITHUB, Docker, and automation.
