Req.) Description Our client in the professional services industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Stamford, CT. This on-site role offers flexibility, with the option to work from home one day per week. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy during month-end and year-end close processes, and providing financial analysis. Senior Accountant (Public Accounting Exp. Req.) Responsibilities Play a lead role in supporting month-end and year-end close activities Prepare and process journal entries to ensure proper classification Review and analyze general ledger postings to ensure accuracy Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies via reconciliations Support with financial statement preparation and reporting Assist management with tax compliance and accounting administration Support the preparation of annual external audits & address auditor inquiries Analyze, book, and validate accruals, identifying areas for adjustment Confirm proper and timely revenue recognition Manage the evaluation of bad debt allowances and adjustments Respond to requests for financial information and data Recommend internal controls to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting practices Senior Accountant (Public Accounting Exp. Qualifications Bachelors degree is required 2+ years of public accounting experience is required Experience with general ledger analysis & journal entry auditing is required Strong Excel skills, including formatting, formulas (ex: VLOOKUP) & pivot tables, are required Ability to work on-site 4 days per week is required #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply Job!
