Student Assistant- Benefits Analyst (Hybrid)

About the position The Student Assistant - Benefits Analyst position at University Enterprises, Inc. offers a part-time opportunity for college students to support the Disability and Survivor Benefits division of the California State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS). The role involves analyzing and applying relevant laws, policies, and procedures while working in a hybrid environment. This position is designed for students who are enrolled in accredited colleges or universities and provides a chance to gain practical experience in a professional setting. Responsibilities • Checking documents for validity. , • Gathering information to identify/locate the correct benefit recipient(s). , • Gathering information to support the specific benefits that are payable. , • Communicating with and requesting information needed from clients to process cases. Requirements • Must be a college student attending classes during the regular term at an accredited college or university. , • Must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduate students; four-semester units or six quarter units for graduate students. , • Dependable, punctual, and flexible with the ability to follow directions. , • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with various levels of staff. , • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. , • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. , • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
