About the position The Account Manager for Post Acute Care at McKesson is responsible for managing and expanding the client base within the Houston, TX market. This role involves selling medical supplies and equipment to various healthcare facilities, ensuring that patient needs are met effectively. The Account Manager will engage in prospecting, consultative sales, and account maintenance while collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve sales goals and maintain customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Sell products and/or services to a group of clients in the Post-Acute Care territory.

  • Identify new and potential customers to meet profitability and sales goals.

  • Engage in prospecting, consultative sales, negotiation, and account maintenance.

  • Provide customer service and post-sale support.

  • Secure and maintain distribution of products and services, ensuring effective agreements.

  • Collaborate with more tenured representatives or management on complex customer accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience in healthcare sales.

  • Demonstrated cold calling and prospecting skills.

  • Ability to maintain an existing customer base and network with channel partners.

  • Experience in consistently hitting or overachieving sales objectives.

  • Proficiency in business reviews and consultative selling.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
