About the position The Software Quality Assurance Engineer II at Toyota is responsible for analyzing product requirements and establishing quality assurance specifications within the Engineer Quality team. This role involves developing and implementing test strategies, leading the validation of various systems within the Connected Technologies Platform, and ensuring a high-quality user experience across Web Portals, Mobile Applications, and Infotainment Systems. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and collaboration within Agile teams. Responsibilities • Analyze product requirements to establish quality assurance specifications and reliability objectives. , • Develop and implement test strategies using quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures. , • Lead the end-to-end validation of systems within the Connected Technologies Platform. , • Plan and coordinate testing resources, including staffing and logistics. , • Provide estimates for test planning and execution work. , • Use test automation tools and techniques to streamline the testing process. , • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases. , • Prioritize and plan testing activities. , • Initiate and lead quality improvement projects and teams. , • Identify areas for quality improvement and propose solutions. , • Provide technical support to internal customers. , • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standup, sprint planning, sprint refinement, and sprint demo. Requirements • Proven experience in engineering project management and development, preferably in the automotive sector. , • A degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. , • Experience as a Product Owner and an agile mindset. , • Technical and Product Management skills to communicate and drive different teams & suppliers. , • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with quick decision-making skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience with automated testing for Android and iOS mobile devices using open-source tools. , • Knowledge of in-car network protocol development (CAN or MOST). , • Experience in cloud service development, waterfall development, and agile or scrum methodologies. , • Familiarity with automotive cockpit-related hardware/software stacks. , • Experience in Infotainment Hardware, Embedded SW, and Off-board Software Development.
