Data Engineer - Emerging Technology

Location: On site in Memphis, TN, Maryville, TN, Birmingham, AL, Lafayette, LA, New Orleans, LA, Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, Job Summary: We are looking for a creative Data Engineer to join our Emerging Technology team. Your role will involve designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that drive technological innovations. You will collaborate with teams across the enterprise to ensure optimal data use for analytics, AI and other impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement data pipelines for large datasets. • Maintain data quality, consistency, and integrity. • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to meet data requirements. • Integrate new tools and technologies for data processing. • Optimize data workflows for performance and efficiency. • Ensure data security and compliance with regulations. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field. • 3 years' experience building scalable data systems and pipelines. • 3 years' experience using REST APIs for data exchange. • Proficiency in Python and Java accessing SQL and NoSQL databases, with a least 1 year of hands- on development. • Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Databricks) at least 1 year. • Familiarity with public cloud platforms and cloud data tools, especially Azure. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred: • Experience with data visualization (Tableau, Power BI). • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and feature engineering concepts.
