Job Summary The Interior Designer is accountable for the development and implementation of standardized design concepts, meeting customer specifications while ensuring the highest quality design solutions within corporate policies and design practices Principle Duties and Responsibilities • Developing design-related presentations and assists in developing proposals choosing materials, plan development, etc... • Developing and completing preliminary designs through final concept within a standardized program or per specific established corporate design standards. • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental design practice standards. • Provide a sales presentation package, which may include sketches, renderings, drawings, cost estimates, and sample boards • Collaborate with Project Management and Sales Teams, as well as the customer, to determine architectural preferences, purpose and function of environment, budget, types of construction, fixtures and components to be installed, and other factors that will ultimately affect planning interior environments • Merge findings with knowledge of interior design and formulate an environmental plan to be practical, esthetic, and conducive to customer requirements • Render design ideas in form of drawings, or illustrations. estimates material requirements and costs and presents designs for client approval • Remain current in design technology, trends, and strategic industry information Qualifications • 10 years of interior design experience, preferably in the consumer environment industry • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, production drawings, and specifications • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit • The ability to produce presentation documents • Experience working with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, and Outlook • Computer literacy with knowledge of ERP software is an asset • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to express oneself professionally utilizing both verbal and written communications The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
